Yakutia picks Rostec-VIS consortium to build 83 bln rbl bridge

MOSCOW, Jan 17 (PRIME) -- Russia’s republic of Yakutia has chosen a consortium of state industrial corporation Rostec and construction company VIS Group as a concessioner for construction of a 83 billion ruble bridge across the Lena River, the press service of the republic’s head said in a statement on Friday.

“Results of competition to choose a private concessioner to design, build, and run a bridge crossing the Lena River near the city of Yakutsk were summarized. The company that represents a consortium of state corporation Rostec and VIS Group became the concessioner. The launch of the bridge into operation is expected in 2025,” the statement read.

Yakutia will contribute 54.3 billion rubles of the funding, while debt will account for 28.9 billion rubles.

VIS Group and Rostec established the consortium in mid-December 2019, with Rostec having a 33.4% stake and VIS Group 66.6%.
